    • I checked and my truck and it appears to be pre wired for cruise control. I bought a stalk off of eBay and the little harness didnt have the ground wire that plugs into the bottom of the airbag so when i put it all back together the horn wouldn't work. The cruise light would come on but it wouldn't actually set a speed. I took the original cable that was there and incorporated it into the harness (no splicing) and now my horn works again but cruise still does not. My truck has the stock clutch cancel switch. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Something is not right as it looks like you are missing something. Go over to Toyota Nation and look for the thread DIY OEM Cruise Control. I have been shepherding it for a few years now and if you look it at the very last page and note my most recent entries I reference where the pics now live. The last 10 pages of the thread have tremendous info. as well.

I have found the white ended plug connector up behind the fuse box and another spot where the clutch hits a bolt when released. Is that where I need to put a clutch cancel switch, because i have one on the floor board as well. Here's some pics. I also posted on TN

Dont ask why it posted so many, sorry lol. As you can see the one on the floorboard is an actual switch and the other one is just a bolt that goes through a nut thats tack welded on

You have found the clutch travel stop. I cant tell from the pics if that is the bolt used for non-CC or the bottom of the switch. So try to see or reach over on the top of that bracket and see if there is a switch thing with a wire coming out of it.

....the switch on the floorboard is the one that is activated to allow you to start the truck. Its not that one. It would be the top one that you say looks like a bolt. That bolt is how the travel on the clutch pedal is adjusted. The bolt is removed and the switch put in its place. The bottom of the switch will then act just like the bolt did.

TIP 1: In order to make sure you maintain the correct pedal travel, when you remove that bolt count the threads because you will want to put the switch at the same number of threads.
Tip 2: I got tiered of working in the cramped space near the top of the pedal and slicing my hands up on that bracket and removed the dash panels to access and install the switch.

It's definitely a bolt. I'll get the switch and hook it up and that white connector goes into the switch, correct

Yes. Make sure you try and maintain the same number of threads.

Do you have the switch in hand?
