Hoping one of you smart folk know the answer. My best friend has a 2008 manual civic that becomes almost un-shiftable if he drives it for a few days consecutively. If he lets it sit for a few days, shifts fine. He’s taken it to a transmission shop twice, but they can’t figure it out. Any ideas/suggestions?

    All gears?

When the problem is acting up look at the clutch release fork and see how far it's actually moving when the clutch pedal is pressed. That will tell if you have a hydraulic issue or clutch issue (like not releasing the friction disc)

Thanks for the info! Mechanic was finally able to replicate it. It’s a hydraulic issue. $850 repair.
