Build update. Switched to 850cc injectors, 450lph fuel pump with relay harness. Turbosmart FPR, installed boomslang jumper harness and Haltech 2500 elite. Waiting to get back to install the Haltech WB1 and ethanol signal. Also the haltech shares the oem coolant temp signal and I need to install another coolant temp so the haltech reads its own signal

You made a good choice with the Elite. How's the tuning going?

@Torspd , got all the sensors working, except sharing the coolant signal with the oem ecu isn't going to work so im installing a second coolant temp sensor. Did some mild street tuning. Once the wb1 gets installed next week the tuner can play with better drivability. I will say that on 5.5 psi it already feels better than it did with the factory ecu on HP tuners

I too installed a coolant temp sensor, specifically for the Haltech. Pretty much just underneath the OOEM sensor. One day, I may install a standalone AIT as well, instead of patching the the MAF sensor's AIT. That way my scangauge will read properly.

Installed a vaccum block, insulated ac lines and oil feed line. Ran ethanol content signal to haltech and a coolant temp harness. Just waiting on my oil cooler kit.

Positive progression. Getting it ready for a dyno and track days?

Also, what boost/power level are you aiming for, and is the engine built?

Actually I mostly daily the truck. Getting Ready for dyno day. The engine is stock so not going overkill. Trying to stay in the 400-415 power range.

Update on Turbo build. so much happened since I updated this. so ihad upgraded to a precision 6266 with a 1.27 AR back housing, to get rid of alot of back pressure that was affecting my wastegate operation. it helped but the better fix is going to be to get a larger wastegate possibly a 50mm

fast forward to September 2022, I go to the dyno and the truck performs. she makes more power than i thought it would or could. Initial run with out any adjustment she made 355whp and 366 rwtq at 8.5psi and after cleaning fuel up and at 12 psi it made 413whp and 390rwtrq, mind you timing was super conservative.

after seveal pulls and cleaning fuel and slowly adding a boost with mild timing but still on the conservative side it climbed and climbed untill it made 482rwhp and 431 rwtrq at 12psi

it drove great and she it was fun while it lasted, fast forward to DEC and I drove her up to Bradenton Motorsports, i got on the 2step and she died on me... More like I killed her. I towed it home and the Teardown began. I found 2 2 rods disintegrated cyls 5 and 6, cyl 5 piston was somehere in pieces, the block was full of holes, the upper oil pan was trashed, cyl 6 piston was broken, and i bent the intake valves in those 2 cylinders.

So the resurrection begins, so far I sourced a good block, the Crank in my original motor is good, but it will go to the machine shop for verification, I have ordered CP pistons and BC rods, King Bearings, I will order once available ARP head studs, and Cometic gaskets i(f I can get them in 94.5) and I have already sourced a bunch of new OEM odds and ends( Upper pan, oil pump, gasket set, timing chain set, main bolt kit). In reality our motors have super weak rods. safe power for the factory block id say is around 400. but i think that if you just swap out the rods 500 is perfectly fine on factory pistons. Although i will be building the bottom end My goal is not a crazy number 500rwp has always been the goal but reliable. I will update as the build goes along

An oil pan spacer from @Coupe, would be a really worthy addition, if you haven't thought of that. Due to your pans shallow design. His spacer will alleviate that shallow problem.
