Just sold my 1st gen and looking for a clean 2nd gen.

This truck whether describes as good as new. It only has 27k miles it is a 2008 Trd Sport 4wd and asking $20k.

Used to transport people from their airplane hangers the reason for the low miles. Always garage kept.

All pictures I have seen does show to be true and clean. My question what does everybody else think? Also what does the trd sport have that the SR5 doesnt? Doesnt appear to have rear diff lock.

I'd go check it out in person... mine is a 2008, and we bought it with 43,000 miles in late 2017. It runs like a champ, but makes certain pulley squeaks from time to time, probably from the mile/age ratio.

No rear diff lock on the sport. Price seems kinda high for an 11 year old truck. Even with low miles. Short trips reek havoc on engines as well imo. If the price is negotiable I'd offer 17.5k

Suspension on the Sport are Bilstein 4600 shocks and struts. The SR5 has regular Toyota shocks and struts. Both aren't anything special, and ride the same. You'll want to replace that 2008 suspension immediately lol.

Sport tuned suspension with Bilstein shocks. It should have a mechanical limited slip diff too, that was discontinued in 2009.

I just picked up a '10 TRD Sport with 13000 miles in perfect shape and I feel like I paid to much but I needed a vehicle quick and it was pretty much as new...and I liked it. In our area I don't think 20K for that truck would be out of the question. He may have trouble finding someone who need to finance with it being an 08. Most around here have 70K or more and they're still asking $20K +.

That truck is an odd choice to transport people to airplane hangars.

That said, it looks amazing. I assume the frame is as clean as the rest of the truck?

Depends on location. $20K is too high in Texas due to it being an ‘08. $17-17,500 is max around here in that. If he walked from $19K, wait a month and offer $17K.

Sure looks super clean, but 20K around here would bump you up to a much later Gen2 I'd think. Damn nice truck though...you're call. Condition & miles are primo on that one. Location does make a difference too.

I concur. A car driven daily but with such low miles can gum up the engine with carbon buildup and shorten battery life. But, I suspect this engine has seen a lot of idling time. It seems the seller is in no hurry and has nothing to lose by sticking to his offer. As others have said, wait a few weeks and approach again with your offer.

Is there any frame rust? If so that's a no-go.
