Having a weird issue with my tacoma everything seems to run fine but when I shift into neutral or park it dies almost instantly sometimes I can manage to keep it alive but mainly it'll die when I pull up to wherever I'm going and put it in park. I read a couple forums saying clean MAF and clean the throttle body. I did that and it worked or so I thought for about a month. I parked the truck for about 2 weeks as I use my car to travel to work. Decided to take my truck and when I pulled up to get gas it died in park. I fueled up started it put it in drive and it was as if I was in neutral I gave it gas it revved up went back to idle then finally went into gear. I also had I believe a p705 code at one point P R N D L something my apologies I should've taken a picture of the code. After scouring the forums I believe it is the neutral safety switch/range sensor switch? I'm not too hard on the truck and wheel it occasionally in our local 4x4 run (all snow). Also to add when I put the truck in reverse my neutral light will faintly light up. Just want to fix it as I have alot of parts to put on soon and a buddy and I will be doing it so I would like to order the part in order to change it just don't want to buy something for nothing and everyone here seems to atleast come across the issues I've had. Thanks everyone.

It sounds like the Neutral Safety switch.

Crawl under the truck and look for the Neutral safety switch.
Unplug it, and check the connector really good for corrosion.
If you see no corrosion on the connector, replace the neutral switch.

If you absolutely want to make sure it’s the safety switch, you can follow the procedure in the link below. We just walked through this with a previous member. Lots of good information in there.
If you read through the entire post, you’ll know more than you’d ever want to about the safety switch circuitry.
