What’s a desent price for injectors for 08 Tacoma 4L. I’m seeing $100 Canadian for a set of 6 to $200 for one only. Bought this Taco used about 5 years ago and now it’s pushing 360,000 km and getting hard to start and and loosing that little bit of power when passing on the Hwy. Going to change the plugs and thinking of changing the injectors while I’m at it. Guy i bought it from said he never changed the plugs or injectors so their original ones.

Injectors usually arent an issue, and when they are its that they leak when the engine is shut off. How are your fuel trims while running when warmed up (this is a good indicator of injector health)

@ 360k km its probably a good idea to go through the whole truck. Change air filter, clean maf sensor, clean/replace PCV valve.... these are things that can cause running issues that are common and should just be done for good maintenance practices at a minimum (along with fluids but thats a different topic).

At that kilometerage (spelling? i know of mileage, and that converts to freedom units of ~225k miles which is a good chunk) a fuel pump with its integral fuel filter is likely tired and clogged.

IF I had your truck my diagnosis process would be, check fuel trims as is during driving normally and then under load. If fuel trims are high across the board, its likely a fuel pump assembly, if its just under wide open throttle (like falling on its face stumbling) then fuel pump resistor would be my first stop.... probably followed by a fuel pump replacement given the mileage.... er sorry kilometerage haha.

Injectors shouldn't go bad unless you got some bad or contaminated fuel run through them.

If the plugs are indeed original (you would know if half are NGK and half are Denso) they are long long overdue for replacement.

I wouldn't change injectors unless you have a reason.
Start with the plugs first, like others have said.

I agree with not replacing the fuel injectors. Usually if they are going to go bad or leak is during the first few thousand miles. As a reference I worked for 30 years for a worldwide automotive company in the fuel injector manufacturing industry.

If you are suffering from lack of fuel it is probably the fuel pump. Check the fuel pressure and the fuel pump resistor (between the battery and driver headlight).
