Are you talking desert sand mica or black sand pearl? If it's black... I'll go trade in right now. Seriously I'll drive to new york I don't care.

Definitely doesn't sound right... I think I'd stay FAR away from that.

Look at the seat frames, inside the frame rails, under the dash (steering column), everywhere--looking for evidence of rust or water lines.

Also check it over for accident damage. Every once in a while, someone drives off the lot and has a bad wreck before signing the papers...

Eh, my 2008 was sitting around over a year in a lot where they lost it lmao... It's fine, never had any issues minus the rugged fails. It ended up being on an overstock lot hidden in a corner where it wasn't supposed to be, best estimate is someone was hiding it because they wanted it and forgot or something...

If it was at a stealership that could be a possibility. But the OP stated he saw it on a "local (not Toyota) lot"

I don't think there's anything suspicious going on. just posted it because I've seen people here liked that color. it can be seen at carsense.com

It's on a non-Toyota lot. (BTW, the picture of the odometer says 59 miles.)

So someone bought the truck...drove it about 20 miles...decided they were tired of it, and traded it in on something else.

That does not seem the least bit unlikely or suspicious to you?

ETA: And at 58 miles, the engine does not have what looks like a factory oil filter on it. (At least, on my 09, the factory filter was black.) I suppose they could have changed the oil due to age, but still--no Toyota filter?

You think it is totally normal to purchase a vehicle, drive it twenty miles, and trade it in?

I'm not selling it. call carsense and ask them why they have it ;) people do strange things all the time, I've seen it, right here in fact.
