2009 Access Cab, 2wd, 2.7L I4, all stock (not for long).

Got 147 miles with first quarter of tank. Took 5.95 gallons to fill = 24.7 mpg.

As those were the FIRST miles put on, not bad and expecting some improvement with break-in. That was some highway driving, but mostly keeping it b/t 40-50 locally.

Was impressed to see 65 mph in 5th gear running only 2100 rpm. 55 mph is like 1800 rpm.

Nice looking truck. COngratulations! Man you ain't kidding! I just got a 2008 2.7 access cab auto and I have 170 miles on it with a little over a 1/4 tank used. Had to give up a 99 v6 access TRD and really wanted a loaded new one. SOmetimes read about the pretty fair mileage of the new V6's loaded but have to accept the decision made and work with the lugger. THough noticed toyota plays a game of you buy the accessories the truck should of had in the first place. Can't complain they bought it. Good luck and may the 5 luggers travel!

WTF?! Man that's some excellent mileage right off the bat. I'm not getting 12 mpg anymore on my truck. Since the fuel has hit $4, I drive a bit more "un-agressive" now. I think I'm getting about 16 mpg mostly city in a 6 speed now.

It keeps getting better. My 06 version has 18K on it and the last 2 tanks were over 28 MPG. Our trucks rock!:rockband:

    Let's keep it going!

I filled up again today with 112 miles on the trip gauge and it took 4.67 gallons for 23.98 mpg and that was almost all local driving (can't say city driving as out here it's all b/t 30 and 45 mph).
