Two months ago, on my 2009 TRD Sport 4.0, my abs and anti skid lights would come on and stay on for a day then go out for a few days then come back on and so on. The trucks brakes seemed to work as they should and I did not get to concerned. Today I started my truck and the abs, anti skid and the e-brake lights are all on and when I went to put truck into drive and pull away, I felt the brakes seemed to be on and the more I pushed the pedal the more aggressive the brakes were even after releasing the the pedal. The e-brake is off and I did try it on and off just to make sure it felt released.
I found that if I pulled the 50amp ABS1 fuse from under the hood they would release. as soon as i re-installed the fuse the truck brakes would be on again and the truck would not move easily at all when trying to drive forward. If I leave the fuse out, I can drive the truck but this is not a fix :(
I pulled the codes from computer and there is C1361 "short circuit in motor fail safe relay" and C1225 "SA1 Solenoid circuit" and C0279 "short circuit in abs solenoid relay"
I cannot find much on why this is happening or a repair? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
