I recently noticed that my driver's door seems to drop 1/8" or so when I unlatch it .

I eyeballed the door lines front and back on the driver's side and it appears as though the drivers door at the bottom is out of plane from the rear door .

Today while driving a pothole-riddled dirt driveway I noticed the door clunking as though it was travelling up and down while latched .

I did a search , but can't find anybody posting up a how-to on adjusting the cab doors . Is there an adjustment ?

Thanks in advance , kind TW peeps . :)

Check the door hinges. You might have a screw loose :D

No accidents , and it's not really sagging , just a clunk when driving on bumpy gravel roads . Maybe it's normal , I'll mention it to the dealer when I am there next , but it is an all day trip for me to get to my dealership .

    thanks for the reply

    been kinda :tumbleweed:

That is a thought , maybe it's something in the door clunking rather than the door itself . I'll see if I can isolate the sound .

    Thanks :)

Went out and looked at mine and it doesn't look like there is much room for adjustment on the hinge bolts. Can't imagine on a 2009 the hinge pin bushings being worn out already. Unless you spend a lot of time hanging on the door... how tall are you? lol
Might want to look at the door latch and striker bolt too, see if it's out of whack.

I dunno, wish I had more for ya.

After reading this thread about cold weather and the Weathertech in-channel vents ( http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/126791-weathertech-vent-visors-vibrating.html ) , I think the clunking I am attributing to the door going up and down is actually the in channels slapping the window .

It was really cold here last week , - 10 C or about 15 F , and I think when the door weatherstripping gets colder and less pliable the vents have more room to move around .
