I hate to admit i'm lost on an answer. I found my turn signals were burning and cracking the lenses. Knowing they stay on when the brake comes off and reading posts here i know why. I read more for a fix and decided to install LED bulbs versus the switch. I actually like them on for safety. I am in Atlanta and we need all the safety help we can get!

Everything i looked up and at indicated a 3157 style bulb/LED. SO, I got them and the resistors as well. When i started to make the change out, my sockets for the turn signals were a 2 wire socket configuration? I am guessing i can use a 3156 style if ever needed? My turn signals and DRL(?) were always the same brightness. Now i hate to ask this BUT, so do i have true DTRL? i saw many spoke of the White/Amber Switchback LED's and I decided id get just Amber. I did the install with the Resistors and Bulbs and they work fine. No hyperflash and a little brighter than before. The bulbs are only using one filament it seems anyway.

My question is, other than tearing out the dash to get to the signal relay to see if i have a 8 pin or a 12 pin, how can i know? I would like to use LED's in the rear but dread trying to figure out where to install the resistor on metal, if i can get a 8 pin LED style flasher relay and not go thru that. I can easily remove the resistors i have in front if i go to a LED flasher.

AND while I'm here, i appreciate everyone!! as I learn A LOT form this forum just reading all of your posts.

    Thank you.

As far as I have seen, nobody makes a LED flasher that works with DRL. If you want to keep the DRL, you have 2 choices. Add resistors or modify your existing flasher. Modifying your existing flasher is kinda touchy to get it just right so it doesn't hyperflash.
