Seems to be worse going East/South, some times starts right away other times doesn't start for a couple of hours. Is it common?

i get the same thing in my newer truck. Free preview week going on this weekend and driving around I lost signal quite frequently. Clear skies, no tree cover above me on the interstate. Subbed.

No issue's here but i'd have to say its a problem on Sirius's end.Shouldn't have anything to do with the yr models of our Tacoma's cause mine's a 2012.Contact them and let them know how dissapointed you are and maybe they'll lower your monthly price. There way overpriced in my mind!Just a suggestion.

Interesting. I just bought a 2015 Sport DCSB and it has the 90 day trial subscription. I have had Sirius for a few years on my F150 that I traded with very little problem of cutting out. I've seen it quite a bit over the last week since I bought the Tacoma. I figured it had to do with the new radio. Maybe not.

I have the car kit and and aftermarket head unit. I get way better reception than friends who are using the oem unit I think the antenna is better with the car kit. I get reception pretty decently through trees and what not out in the bush. Some days it's stupid and cuts out a bunch bit I'd say 98% of the time it's awesome

My 2011 cuts out all the time, didn't renew after trial and went with pandora. I think it's our antennas, my old jeep never cut out.

It is not the antenna or the radio or the year of the truck. It is Sirius They suck donkey balls, the sound quality and the service sucks. I would rather hire somone to sit in the truck with me and hum a tune.

Mine's fine. Always gets a little worse when the leaves come out, but it's no worse than it was last year. Most of the time I don't lose it at all but there are a couple roads I drive where it's hopeless. Wide open sky but the mountains block it just enough.

I think the Sirius receivers in my Tacoma is weaker than others I have owned. Mine occasionally cuts out but only for milliseconds. When I turn it on sometimes it takes a few seconds for the song/artist info to show up.

The Sirius in my '12 CX-9 is perfect. Has pause, ability to scroll channels, and pops up preset artists when playing on different channels. It works in parking structures and car washes with zero signal loss.

Just replaced the HU, xm tuner and currently using antenna that came with the unit and it's worse than ever cutting out. Must be a problem at the source. All components replaced and still cuts out. Note: I did not replace everything just because of sat radio issues, just was time for an updated unit.

New antenna wire from HU to factory antenna jack behind the kick plate (xm tuner in-line somewhere in there). Now seems to be fine.
