2009 infamous "sticker", you got one?

what sticker?

 

I got one in the mail the other day with a letter from Toyota....it said that the wrong sticker was put on my truck and I should affix the new one directly over the existing one...

The new one said that the payload capacity has been reduced by 1lb.....I went out and peeled the old sticker off, threw them both in the trash....so now I'm stickerless....

 

TSB and sticker are not related.

 

Well I never got a sticker and never will since mine was produced before the recall.

Gotta love how this thread (and the stickers) are still going strong all these years later with people still thinking it has something to do with a TSB.

I'm not sure what you mean by "all these years later" considering it affects the '09-'10 model years and the thread was started 3/19/09. I guess you could say, "all this year later" may be more true.

 

mine came with a sticker forgot what its said. and a few months ago i got a revised sticker saying the load carrying capacity was only reduced by 49 lbs but the new stickers already starting to peel up at the corners the need to recall the actual sticker now lol

 

what did they do to put on the 5lb. sticker? i have the same thing on my 2010 dbl cab

 

I got one in the mail the other day that was part of an official recall notice. It reduced my load capacity by 2 kg or 15 lbs.

Put both the letter and the sticker where they both belong.

 

My guess is that 5 pounds is probably floor mats or fog lights or something like that.

I have a 2010 4door prerunner sport my sticker says the payload has been reduced by 36 pounds?

 

I have it on my 2010 but mine is only for 6lbs (I didn't read above and see that a lot of others had the small number stickers too) sorry

 

My 2010 TRD Sport has the sticker and the dealer still did the leaf spring TSB.

 

Have a 2011 sr5 4x4 and it has the sticker although it only has a "2" for reduction in payload. Strange little sticker-who cares I did a fabtech AAL so no problems with payloads.

 

But it's only 10 pounds or so. 2010 AC/Auto/4-banger

 

I've got the sticker but it says reduced by 31 lbs.....

 

They said mine was for the trailer hitch, dealer add on, extra weight. Don't know if it was true. Also have an under hood sticker.

 

'09. tow package. sticker also. im 99% sure mine is from BC. I think most the toyotas in AK come from there. but i could be wrong. its happened before.

 

No Tacomas are built in Canada .

 

My 08 has the sticker...LOL Airbags changes all that. 20lbs
