    enough to get me there
    x2

    The ride has been good for me. I don't want to take a chance of getting a harsher rider either.

    When I do get my quad or motobike. I will then decide if its worth while to get the TSB done. Hopefully, this sticker thing isn't a way of Toyota weaseling out on the 09'.

    PROPS FOR THOSE THAT BOUGHT CALIFORNIA MADE!!!

    I live right near that plant and they're closed down for the month but when they open up again, I'm definitely going to take a tour and see some Taco's in the building process! I may even snag pics...:p

    I'm curious.. although I have an 05 I'm curious what exactly that sticker says?? Anyone have a closeup shot they can post?

    I don't see anywhere on the Toyota web site where things are different either.
    I have a 05 DC 4x4 with the tow package the 09 lists as follows:

    GVWR = 5450 (Same as the 05)
    Curb Weight = 4155 (05 says 4100)
    GCWR = 11,100# (same as 05)

    Do the math GVWR - Curb Weight = 1295 (the 05 = 1350) so where's the 290 pound difference listed on the sticker? I only calculate 55# based on the specs number... Not to mention.. where's the extra weight coming from on the 09 models?

    My 09 Access, 4 cyl manual, (no towing package) sticker says "original capacity reduced by 290 lbs". I just thought it was the additional weight of the access cab and longer frame, more glass, more etc that reduced the capacity. :confused:

    My bad. I assumed Canada becuse my window sticker said
    " plant origin-BC " I knew Toyota had a plant in British columbia but I found out that its not for Tacoma. I saw on the net that tacomas built in Mexico are from Baha California, Mexico. I now know what the BC stands for and also my V.I.N.# starts with 3.

    I have the tow package, and mine has the sticker... :mad:

    But, if need be, I'll buy some better springs down the road...

    BTW, what is the payload capacity for my DC SB TRD Offroad?

    I have the trd off road with the tow pak and its there kinda sucks. But its one more reason for me to get the ICON stage 3 now if my wife would just see it that way.

    Same on mine- same truck. I looked on my door jamb and answered the poll, "No." Then yesterday afternoon I saw the sticker on the outside - like yours. I also like the ride and have no plans to stiffen things up. My biggest load will be twoing a 2500 lb boat.

    I know the factory tow package does, but was wondering if the dealer installed deal was the same. I was told by a salesman, when I was shopping around, that they would install the hitch, but not the tranny cooler, oil cooler, or larger alternator. I ended up getting one with the factory package, but I'm wondering if the salesman was lying about that too. :)
