    OK,

So I've had my truck for a few weeks only, but I am averaging 14MPG. I am using premium gas.

What is everyone else averaging on their 2009?

I have a double cab, extend bed, 2W drive (stock no mods).

    Thanks

I have a 2009 Access Cab - Auto - 4 cyl with close to 20K and I have averaged 23-24 MPG since I have owned it.

One problem I see is that you are using Premium. Try running a few tank of regular and see how much better your mileage is. All Tacos call for Regular if I recall correctly.

Here is a link to my usage. http://www.fuelfrog.com/users/weathersinc/fuels/records

I have a 2009 TRD Double Cab (short bed, V6) and have been getting between 20.5-22.9 since I got it. I usually run regular and tried premium a couple of times but only saw a slight difference.

I drive 114 miles/day round trip to work (95% hwy) and drive like an old woman...usually 60-65 and almost never over 75.

If I am correct our odometers are known to be off by a little. My 2003 Xtracab prerunner only got between 18-19 mpg,,,,,,not once did it get over 20MPG.

My 09 4x4 AC 6sp has a total of 1322 miles right now and I'm averaged 16.8 after like 4 or 5 fill up's. I do about 90% hwy driving between 70 and 80 the whole time. (Southern Ca. hwy speeds)

09 4x4 DC short bed. 1500+ miles and I am averaging about 18mpg city driving so far. I suspect that will drop next week when i add that 6" lift and the 34s though.

I dont drive much anyway as I work from home.

09 prerunner DC sb with just over 2000 miles - I've been getting just shy of 20 mpg. I expect better mileage now that spring is here and I'm not warming the truck up every morning.

I've never checked the MPG on mine, I'm at about 3,500 miles and I can see that it has gotten better as it is breaking in. I never run the tank to empty, I usually have to add about 16 gallons to fill it up and I get about 300 to 320 ish miles on that 16 ish gallons. So maybe 18 to 20 MPG, I will check it one of these times.

2009 has nothing to do with it. It's the same basic truck as all the '05+.

Having said that, I average between 17-18 mpg, all local driving. On the highway, I can get 23 mpg unloaded, 22 mpg with a few hundred lbs.

Just topped mine off tonight to check the MPG. I am getting 22.38 miles per gallon. about 60% backroads with stop signs and such and the rest highway. Its a 4x4 access cab with the 4cyl. I only have about 500 miles on it and expect if to go up as it gets broken in.

I have a 2009 4 door, 4 x 4, 6 cylinder. I get 18 mpg around town and 21mpg on trips. The critical factor is how you drive. Older people seem to get better MPG.;)
