I live in the Gulf States region and I bought my Taco in Little Rock. This Taco was originally sold by Lithia Toyota (36079). Lithia Toyota is part of an 81 dealer network and there are quite a few Lithia Toyota of (Insert City Name).

The service dept has very little information about this particular truck because it was originally sold somewhere other that the gulf states region.

Here is a link to some eBrochure's of other than the current year. This example is 2009.

    2009 Tacoma eBrochure - Toyota
    cdn.dealereprocess.com/cdn/brochures/toyota/2009-tacoma.pdf

Since this truck did not come from the GSR, I was able to get a little information via the Toyota Service Lane. GSR Service will have some of the installed option codes. Forget trying to use a Vin Decoder outside of Toyota as they give very little information(Deceptive Advertising).

Unlike the other auto MFR's, Toyota does not put (Generaly) the installed option code stickers in the glove box. Also, each region has it's own 'Mainframe' (Program name) concerning vehicles and installed options AND what work has been done on the vehicle. The 'Mainframe' system is not interconnected between the regions. If work has been done outside of the home area it will show up on the National mainframe system.

From my truck the following codes were found and they do not incude dealer addons:

    2Q - All Weather Mats
    AL - 16" Alloy Wheels w/P245/75R16 Tires
    FE - 50 State Emissions
    RL - Daytime Running Lights
SN - SR5 Extra Value Pkg. w/JBL Satellite (Since mine is not a GSR truck I have little idea what the extra value pkg is. Might be SR5 basic and the added SR5 with the JBL) Packages are Region Specific. The brochure's are starting points.
TO - V6 Towing Package 6,500 lbs. (My truck has the Long Bed, and according to the LB Spec's should be 8100 lbs) Toyota Service Lane (GSR) says the Factory installed Tow Package is rated at 6500 lbs no matter what. After market Tow hitches are rated at 3500 lbs.
    01E7 - Silver Streak Mica
    **13 - Graphite Interior

The key to remember about option codes and Package codes is they are all region specific. To start your hunt you have to find out where the vehicle was first sold (IE What Region).

    Toyota Service Lane says I have a V6 - 1GR (Engine Family)

The VIN Decoder I used says I have a 1GFE engine. Is there a difference? Might be region specific.

Is there anyone out there who knows which Lithia dealership I need to contact?

You could email Toyota and ask them to send you a copy of the build sheet. I did that and they emailed it to me 2 days later.

I'm really not getting what you are asking.

The 1GR family of engines. Your specific engine is the 4.0 liter 6 cylinder 1GR-FE engine.

The 2009 had only two engine options the V6 2GR-FE 4.0 liter or the inline 4 cylinder, 2.7 liter 2TR-FE engine.

I'm not sure where to send a msg like that. Since the truck came from another region corp may not have it. Or will they go directly to the dealer?
