    Getting ready to replace the front brakes and rotors, this weekend , i got 91K on them, my first time at this , but not in doing brakes in general , any TIPS? appriciated, photos will help also , Thanx Gents.:eek::(

    A little of this and a little of that.
    Unless you go with OEM rotors, stay away from Chinese rotors at the parts stores if possible. Also, a little CRC disc brake quiet will help keep any squeaking to a minumum. Good luck.

    Thanx bud. the Rotors actualy look realy good no heat checks or burning I may leave the rotors alone this time around and just change the pads once i have the wheels off.

    5100s, ome884s, wheelers aal kit, and some rustoleum
    unless they are below minimum thickness, or warped, leave the rotors. check thickness with a micrometer, warpage is pretty obvious when present. i havent done brakes on my truck yet but dont imagine it to be difficult.

    stay away from parts store pads, use the toyota ones. they lasted a long time right?

    Agreed 100% , on my old 1993 plain Jane Toyota with 400K + milage on it I used to change the pads and only replaced the front rotors once and the rear brakes were original , I am using preminum ceramic pads They are rated as OEM so will see how they fair if i get 70K out of them i will be happy, 2009 Taco is 99% on the HWY, hardly i use the brakes , Only If I Have Too ,:)LOL
