Hi first post, searched and couldn't find anything. Just started on my 6 inch rough country lift and I'm having a problem with the driver side axle.

I have the upper control arm bolted to the knuckle and slid the axle into the hub. The axle spins freely and works good, but when I pull the knuckle down and bolt it to the lower control arm the problem occurs. The axle won't spin completely. It will spin halfway then clunk spin it the other way and clunk again.
The axle is completely in on both ends I have took the knuckle on and off about 4 times and it happens every time I connect the lower arm. It almost seems as if it's kinked on the inner part of axle or there's something in the differential that won't let it spin completely.. any help is appreciated thanks. :bananadead:

Are u using aftermarket CV? Aftermarket CV from auto parts store don't flex the same as stock. They require some grinding inside to Allow it to flex a little more. The 6 inch rough country lift really stresses out a lot

The axle is always spinning. Is the truck in neutral? I am not sure if that will make a difference.

It must not be seating all the way in and it's causing it to bind.

Maybe u need to try to spin the cv baxk and forth and try to wiggle it in deeper. That's what she said

Where the axle meets the difference it's completely in, and where the axle meets the hub it's in and fluSh but I didn't tighten the axle nut cause I didn't want to finish it like that... almost looks like it's binding on the inner part of axle.. my friend said put a wheel on and lower onto wheel to even the axle from being kinked but last thing I need is to do that and snap the axle or bearings inside...

Planesane I thought about that but then I thought to my self what if I'm off roading and the driver tire lifts off the ground? Will it bind again and snap off or? Don't want to run the risk and I don't see anyone else have this issue :(

What cvs? Jack up the lower control arms and see if it still happens. I had to mod my axles to prevent this. But this is much worse than mine was
