My dad picked up an 09 Tacoma a few days ago. Has an Aux input jack down by the cigarette lighter, but no Aux source on the stereo. Anyone know what is up with that?

IIRC my 2009 Prerunner only had an analog aux input, phone plug jack. I believe the factory head unit was the same as the one in your picture.

When I had the stock 6 disc (non JBL) radio in my 07 I used something very similar to what is pictured below. If you tapped on either the disc button or the right knob (can't remember which) it would switch between the CD player and the AUX. It plugged straight into the back of the radio. Wasn't bad, a little weak on volume.

So glad I upgraded to a Joying head unit that does so much more than the stock radio.

Use the "Mode" button on the steering wheel controls. Tap it to change between audio sources and hold it to turn off the stereo.
