2009 tailgate...does it need reinforced?

I am using my truck to haul my dirt bike fairly often. The rear tire of my bike sits entirely on the tailgate. I may even load 2 bikes on occasion.

Has anyone had issues with the 2009 tailgates or felt the need to reinforce it?

x2 ...interested as well. i have taken the cover off and it doesn't look like theres much to it.

 

If it is anything like the previous ones, you might want to do something. Underneath that cover lies 6 or 7 bands of the thinest metal known to man.
