the front stabilizer bar is not attached at either end - is this normal or does someone have a photo of how it attaches?

    Thank you.

If you bought it used, its possible the previous owner disconnected it.

hang on let me upload a couple pictures - I'm getting ready to change a left front speed sensor and noticed the ends of the stabilizer bar - is it called a struct bar or stabilizer bar?

I bought it brand new and have only gone to dealer for recalls it has 200,000 miles - I had it undercoated a few years back with the frame recall - what is is suppose to look like and what danger is there the way it is now?

You have a Pre-Runner. I don’t know how they attach?

But I think yours is “still there” but broken maybe?

Yea. Looks like rust is quickly taking a toll on some of those components.

Yes, its broke. Rust clearly ate thru it. You don't really need the swaybar, just pull it the rest of the way out. Just drive responsibly. If you havnt noticed until now after all this time, then i would guess you do drive responsibly.

or find a good used one at a salvage yard or rockauto. Youre going to need the bar and links.

should the undercoating recall have helped that? Mine tested good enough for the undercoating as opposed to the new frame Toyota was giving... Has anyone seen this happen before where both ends are disconnected ?

I haven't noticed anything driving - it's a two wheel drive - and I do load it up wood - but don't do anything crazy with it -

Thank you - would it help to spray some undercoating over the rust areas or not really?

Have you seen this before? Thanks Matic.. How is that ABS speed sensor to swap out?

Yes, that is the ABS Sensor.
Remove the 10mm bolt and take it out.
It pulls out. It “should” be easy to do. Maybe 10 mins?

You can “twist” it SLIGHTLY to help break it loose. Slightly not much. -There is a flat space on the sensor inside. - If it doesn’t want to come loose, do your best NOT to break it off.
Other wise your going to need to remove the hub/ bearing to get it out.

Yours looks like it is in “ok shape” and possibly has been removed before.
    Hopefully, it comes out easily:fingerscrossed:

Looks like the swaybar endlink rotted through. The undercoating recall doesn't cover suspension components. If the dealer noticed it back then, they could've quoted you to replace them out of pocket. The endlinks are cheap if you go aftermarket, less than $30 each: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1151489&cc=1442969&pt=7580&jsn=437
Be sure to diagnose it properly. Less likely to be a sensor and more likely to be a broken magnet ring on the wheel bearing (from rust...) or chafed wire going up the suspension. If you have a scan tool with live data, you should be able to spin the wheel by hand and see if the wheel speed signal has any dead spots.
