Been looking for a Taco for a while now, found a 2009 4 door gray trd off road with 56K on it for 23K. I am really excited to test drive.
My Dad has Tundra, My lil Bro has ext cab taco, Now its my turn!

Any issues with the 2009 models that I really need to check out? Its been in Nashville now transferred to Atlanta so I dont think rust will be an issue.

I'd say go for it, no issues that I know of that are out of the ordinary for a 5 year old truck.

Looks pretty good 09 is a good year I think not a lot of problems. Just make sure all the buttons and crap inside is working and how the engine and trans feel other than that the rust like you said shouldn't be a problem. Any other things wrong probably effect all gen 2s. Maybe see if it has excessive vibes, that's just something that happens to our trucks but isn't really a problem

Don't think it's really that outrageous. Asking price 23K, offer 19.5-20 and he might get it for 21K or so. You'd be hard pressed to find a 4x4 in decent shape in that price range. But hey, if you can, you may want to pm him. It might prevent some 2wd vs. 4wd threads in the future.

Something I should be concerned with, or just follow up with Toyota to see if they have been done?

Not really looking for 4x4. I just like the off road trd package.
Its a Carmax purchase so no room to haggle.
