Does the springs on your truck have a "G" after the part number. Part number is right behind the tire. I had to hold my camera in the wheel wheel to get a picture to read the part number. I have read on this site that some have "improved" 3 leaf springs that end with a "G". Be curious to know if you have these.

I have an '09 Double cab LB V6 and I hauled a yard of fairly damp bark without any issue. The truck barely squatted. My spring packs do end with a "G".

Just got back from my dealer. Got approved fort he TSB. Going in next Thurs to get it done. SM said he had no problem doing it even though the TSB doesn't cover my year. As far as the window rattle, he agreed it was a crappy design. He took apart the whole door and found nothing. I mentioned to him the scratch I have on the glass and he agreed that the design definately allowed something in the weatherstripping. There is like a 1/8" space when the window is moved back and forth. Unless Toyots issues a fix, his hands are tied. Just suckes about the scratch. After this winter, I will have it replaced and add the 3m double sided tape to the weatherstripping near the side mirror. Hopefully that will work.

Balise Toyota in Warwick was the dealer. Steve Guyette is the SM. Real nice guy. So, sucks for my wndow, great for the TSB.

I just got off the phone with the two major Toyota dealers in Jacksonville.

First call was to Arlington Toyota because it's about 3 minutes from my door. They wanted me to bring in the truck so they could inspect it and see if I qualify. I scheduled an appointment, but the earliest they could do was Wednesday [IMG]

Second call was to Coggin Toyota, which is about a 15 minute drive. They were extremely nice about the whole thing. I explained I was having a harsh ride with weight in the bed, and that there was a service bulletin to have it replaced. They said bring it in tomorrow morning and we can get everything rolling.

We'll see what happens, but hopefully, between two stealerships, one of them will get me a new suspension.

c/n: If you're in Jacksonville, go to Coggin.

If you ever tow anything with weight, or haul any weight in your bed, you will probably appreciate the new springs and shocks during these times. If you do neither, it is still a free upgrade to the truck. I feel the truck's suspension is tighter, perhaps a bit stiffer, but as most say it feels like a truck now post TSB. I drove my truck stock 10K miles or so before the swap, and it was not a drastic difference in firmness. The Dealer warned me as well with a stiffer ride with the TSB springs. That being said, if you occasionally or never tow or haul anything, the stock suspension is probably fine as it is designed to give the truck a "car like ride" and most will be content with the stock set up and ride qualities.
I have driven a truck all my life, and it rides great to me with the TSB upgrade.

Look at the current TSB numbers, then compare them with what is installed on the truck. You probably have installed the spring numbers that are being replaced under the TSB, unless they have already been swapped out. This is a main part of your argument, with Safety being your main concern with the Service Manager as to why you need to have the TSB done. Remember, they do not have to do it, but safety is a buzz word for most Service managers.

TSB has been upgraded to cover the 08's up to this point... many 09's have been done, like mine, but I have not heard of a 2010 being swapped out yet...
