2009???

Does anybody have the 09 taco yet? I have no choice but to order one. I can't find a black 08 sport anywhere.

 

yeh i know how hard it is to find the 08 sport in black. i got mine back in may and it was hard to find even then.

 

how much was the sport?

i got my 08 for around 24grand w/ change before taxes. i went through my dealers internet dept first to get the best possible deal. is that what you're doing or are you talking directly with a floor sales person? and how much did the 09 go up with all their new standard stuff now?

 

you know....here in MA/ New Englangd...the 2009 is even available to order yet. all i see on the lots are 2008. trust me...if you put enough of a fuss....they can get u a tacoma from anywhere

 

I was told in April by several deaders that the Desert Sand Mica was not available in the 5 speed access cab. So I went on Edmunds.com and KBB.com and did my own regional search, and found three. Finally one of the dealers ordered on in for me. Don't give up on a black 2008 without doing some research yourself.

 

The sticker on the black '08 I wanted (lost to another buyer) was 29500, the sales dope told me he could order me a '09 sport and get it in 4 weeks. He says the sticker is 32+. but he could give it to me at 28900. Almost a no brainer, but if I could get the 08 for 26ish, I'd rather do that. As far as I know, the only real difference is the safety features, ie side air bags and stuff like that which I don't care about.

I've been doing internet searches for NJ, CT, and NY and so far nobody has one. I won't give up!!!

 

Just go to one of the dealerships and get them on their database. If there's one around, they'll be able to find it and tell you how far away it is. But beware, they probably will charge you 300-600 to get it if it's outside their "region" (250 mile radius). Good luck!

 

+1, if you want to do doughnuts in your Taco and save $, get an 08. The lots around here are full of 08's still.

 

If you know the name of a dealership upstate ny, I'll call and see what they've got. Thanks in advance.

The vehicle could possibally list for 32+; if it is loaded with all the port junk. The dealer does not have the ability to change Toyota's MSRP, so if it lists for 32+; it is loaded with every option plus some port junk options. If he said 4 weeks, the truck is already built, or just days away from being built, but too late to make changes, or he is just guessing at the price.

 

Looks like Jack Sherman & Williams has a black Acab. Bunch at Gault, but none black. They dont say what trim, look them up on internet and call. If your willing to alt color you'll have more choices...

Thanks for all your help boys, but I did order an '09 black sport access cab. It became a no brainer based on the price I was able to negotiate as opposed to hearing several dealers promise an '08 for almost an identical price. Ended up getting a quote in writing for $28.4. With a bed cover thrown in. Not to bad.

I'm not too crazy about the color, but the price is pretty nice
I like the radiant red or, the 09 color magnetic gray!!! I love that color!!
