Reached a milestone today, 200K. She's been a good one. I bought her 12 years ago on Aug 28. For the 1st 9 years it was my daily driver averaging almost 20K per year. Been on 3 long road trips from GA to Colorado or Utah and back. Multiple trips to Florida or the NC/TN mountains.

I've done very little other than change oil. The alternator died 2 years ago and I had a U-Joint go bad on the last road trip to the Grand Canyon in 2016. Other than that it has just been normal routine stuff like tires, brakes, batteries and fluid changes. The paint is peeling on the hood and my daughter backed into something with the tailgate down and left a barely noticeable dent in the top of it. Not even noticeable with the cap on the truck. I may get it repaired and re-painted eventually but for now it isn't hurting anything.

Three years ago we reached the point where a bigger truck was needed. That was when the F150 in the background was added. The Tacoma was worth more to me to keep rather than trade so it has been my wife's daily driver since. Only getting about 10K/year now. It's a perfect vehicle for her to pick up gardening and craft supplies she always needs. I tend to drive her older Honda around town and we use the big Ford when it is needed for the size, towing, or for longer trips.

Congratulations on your milestone! Glad you didn’t trade it in.
