Decided this was the year to invest in maintenance on my truck. Bought it 4 years ago with 93k miles on it. Now its at 130k. Never been a gearhead so its my learning project as well. Here's what 130k factory plugs look like...

Good for you, getting the work done. Hopefully looking at those plugs has taught you something about the importance of good maintenance. The regular schedule is 30K, and I have found that to be correct.

yeah not getting into the copper vs iridium debate, the 30k intervals, none of that. Just an interesting observation of worn plugs. FWIW the truck ran great with them still and I don't really notice any difference.

I did my plugs this past week. I had previously done them at about 80k, and Im now at 187k, so yes I was way over, shame on me, so on so forth.

Mine looked about like yours, I measured the used gaps to be about .070 on average.

The biggest deal was the middle cylinder on the passenger side the old plug was so hard to get out, I had to use a 14" breaker bar the entire time unthreading it. I was crapping my pants sure I had stripped the head, but fortunately for me all was good and with a heavy coat of antisieze on the new plugs it torqued up to spec no prob PHEEEWWW!

I do notice it running smoother particularly at idle
