The engine swap was done and the only computers I swapped was the ECU and the immobilizer ecu. Believe it or not the ecu didn't care that no other modules were connected. From my research all u.s. 2.7 trucks left the factory without an immobilizer, only Canadian 2.7 trucks had them. My donor was a Canadian truck so I bought a ecu from a u.s. I ran the vin number that was attached to the ecu that I bought in TIS and under the options list it does not list an immobilizer. I ran the vin from my Canadian donor truck and it was listed as having an immobilizer.

So there's no way to switch it unless you have a harness from a non-chip key truck.

The only place where the immobilizer ecu ties into the ecm is on pin 15 (IMO) and pin 16 (IMI) with a non immobilizer ecu like the one I bought those pins should just be unused. I am thinking the ecu I bought might be bad, but I want to be damn sure before I throw yet another ecu at the truck.

Well I still haven't figured it out. I ordered yet another ecu but this one has the same part number as the original. Hopefully that fixes it.
