the stock 4runner mirrors bolt on to the tacoma mirror arms perfectly. You end up with unusable 4runner arms but everything fits spot on

I know it costs more but the OP bought stock new 4runner mirrors so I did the same. No problems at all and the stock mirrors are identical. They come without the covers and you can buy paint matched covers as well to keep from having to paint.

Wonder if your mirror kit is bad....I installed the A1 mirrors more than a week ago and they are rock solid on side roads and the highway....

checked out 1A Auto when's it available in stock. Parts experts says around Dec 21. Damn...

I've checked out other sites, but I think they come without the caps/cover.

Where'd you guys buy your cap/covers from?

So hook up at Toyota says I can get the originals for:

    Mirrors: $213.35 + tax a piece
    Covers: $37.35 + tax a piece
Covers come colored matched to the silver 1F7 used on the 4runners not the 1E7 on the tacos...

We will see If I might jump on this instead and sell the eBay ones colored matched for what I got them for

I was looking those up too on www.toyotapartsales.com for the 2012 Tacoma mirrors, No need to use the 4runner ones.
    http://www.toyotapartsales.com/part...=TACOMA&submodel=PRE+RUNNER&vehicleid=1502964

    Number 4 and 7
    $176.44 per assembly
    $37.10 for the cover.

The 2012 Tacoma mirrors don't come with a heat option though.

It may be where the mirrors were made. Looks like the out of stock 1Aauto mirrors worked.

    It's only my drivers side that's shaking...the passenger side doesn't move...so I guess I had a bad mirror...either way I think I'm going to go oem...I gave it a shot :notsure:

I think I'ma go OEM too. might as well do it right the first time. it'll probably be more pricey getting it locally from a dealership.

know of any sites that's price affordably?
