So the AUX input port on my truck has gone bad and it needs to be replaced i went to a dealership and they told me they could buy a new part and replace it for about $250 and in my mind that seems a bit much so I went to a car audio shop and all they did was pop out the aux input part and told me the pins in the back where bad and I would need to buy a new one so I was wondering if anyone know where to find and buy a new Aux input port for cheap but is reliable and wont brake on me soon after I buy the part

Would your radio keep switching to disc or FM when you were using it? If so it's a issue with the "gate" that reverts the head unit back to disc or FM when you remove the auxiliary cable from the port. You can solder two points on the aux switch and it fixes it.

I thought the same but apparently the dealership wanted to charge me like $130 for the part and some more for labor and shipping the product so I was like nah but its a simple unplug the old one plug in the new one takes no less than 2 mins tops

I just looked at mine, it's just a 1/8" stereo phone jack; $0.39 each from JPM Supply...

They are less than $0.15 each in bulk ($0.35 or so if you get the "audiophile" gold plated ones) and there must be half-a-million ways to mount and wire it into the taco dash...

My AUX input worked on and off, so I tried the solder fix and the card trick last night and now it doesn't work at all. Damn sasquatch fingers plus poor soldering technique, LOL.
$60 later it's on the way from Amazon. :(

When my aux port failed I found the oem replacement online for about $60 shipped to my door and replaced it myself with the help of a youtube video in about 15 minutes. It was very easy.

I just grabbed a replacement aux input for the one that went bad in my truck. Did you Install it yourselves or did you take it to a car audio shop?

Super easy, carefully pry out the climate panel to get access and push the bad aux input out, unplug the connector, and plug in the new one. There are actually videos online showing how.
