I kept mine while waiting and was happy to do so. Sitting at the dealer didn’t excite me at all.
    They said 3 months minimum.
About a month later they called and asked me to drop it off that day.
Took the tech 3 days 1 man to do it. I sent with the truck,
    Body mounts,
    Rad mounts,
    Rear shocks,
    Lower intermediate steering shaft.,
Power steering rack w/inner and outer tie rods. Ended up buying ps lines and sway bar bushings.
I talked to the tech and he was happy I did and kept me in the loop, I was welcome to just stop and look. The new parts also sped his work up and he did extras for me for free.

Wish I’d done the ucas and had the plastic coolant bypass tube done. But my dealer had a rig to suspend the motor in the engine bay so the bypass tube would had cost $.

Take it to a dealer ASAP, I just recently had my leafs replaced, but they were in no way as bad as yours. They will replace the leaf packs and inspect the frame. Upon inspection they will almost certainly get a new frame for you. Honestly it can almost be looked at as a blessing to get a whole new frame for free. xD

UPDATE 2....So after one month of driving an '18 Corolla (not too bad IMO) the dealer has provided me with a '19 Tacoma 4x4 access cab 4 cyl AT SR5. They tell me I'll be in this for at least the next 4 months. TONS of older Tacos parked behind the dealer. Lots of frame work to be done!

This new Taco is NICEEEEEE....I may have to buy one now! The whole truck is sweet; only 841 miles on it at the start. The AT is really impressive. Love the 4 cyl power, but I know if I got one it would be a double cab (no 4 cyl there).

Tough to beat a new Tacoma 4x4! The ride is nice, power is OK, but the ride is very confidence-inspiring.

UPDATE 3....SOOO, after nearly 8 months of driving Toyota 'loaners' I'm STILL waiting for my original truck to be repaired & returned. I'm currently driving a '19 Tacoma double-cab 4X4 SB AT V6 SR5. I like this truck! I'll be buying one just like it for sure once this recall process is over.....Speaking of that, what a PITA it has been going back and forth to the dealer to regulate the 'loaner'....Can't 'rent' longer than one month, and cannot 'renew' a rental more than twice (must switch to a different vehicle). MASS laws, not Toyota's fault!

If Toyota made me a realistic offer for my '10 in trade for a new truck I'd take it. I doubt they will so I'm planning to get it back soon, hopefully!

Because they are replacing the frame the hard lines that attach to frame were include when I had my frame replaced . There is a list of everything replaced for free somewhere. Try searching for it . I also replaced steering rack it was really rusty and leaky .

Looks like I have to stop by the dealer to make an appointment for my rear spring recall. Is the only fix replacement? Has anyone had issues with the dealer charging extra for other stuff that required replacing to make this fix work. Just wondering if they will hold my truck after it is already there and apart telling me they can not do the recall repair due to other wear and tear needing attention immediately. Also, do they supply a loaner for this free of charge?
