Check your interior fan make sure the filter is there. Behind the glove box, the other possible problem is leaves stuck in the cold air intake sort of under where the wiperblades are. Under that plastic. If it has a interior filter and it has stuff on the top like leaves and things suspect that problem is under the plastic under the wiper blades.

Other possible problem if the speedo is a cable type. It may be dying. My GM did the same thing when it was cold. The square cable is wearing threw the outer casing. If it's brand new what the problem could be is the speedo cable is not running as strait as it should be.

Oh and behind the glove box. Check for uncut tyraps rubbing on stuff. Maybe add a few. There is a post here about that somewhere. Trim the ends off if they have not been already cut. There is a thing also about the airbag passenger side. A label is left there and it rubs. I think that is a dealer fix only though. That should be something they have already fixed. Was a problem in the past.

My friend at work just got a 2010 and said the same thing- at highway speed he hears a whirring noise from behind the dash. Sounds like something to do with the air intakes/ dash fans?

Wait a minute- Tim, is this you? Or is this another BC 2010 with the same problem?

On my truck the cabin air filter was inserted incorrectly so it was folded up and doing squat. I ripped it out tried to fix it. impossible, Threw it away and made my own permanent washable one from the MOD here. You want to check that filter once and awhile. You would be amazed at how much big stuff ends up on top of the filter.

Also note, there has been a recurrent problem with wind noise causing a loud humming at highway speed since 2005.

Does not sound like what you are describing, but you might want to check it out anyway.

Glad you were able to find a solution. I am amazed that there are still trucks with this problem 5 years after it was first discovered!
