Hi Guys, been lurking for a few days already. Very knowledgeable group here.
Picked up a new Yota last Monday. Silverstreak Mica 4x4 TRD Sport double cab with 5' bed. I love everything except the gas mileage lol. (K&N CAI ordered)

In my professional life I am an IT security consultant, but my heart has come to lie with the fire service. I've been a volunteer firefighter in my county since 2006.

I have so much on my plate, lol. From adding the two extra d-rings into my bed, to hard-wiring my GPS and blackening my tail lights, oh, the CAI, a bed cover, and maybe a few months down the road the s/c. I have a feeling this truck is going to become a very expensive project; just don't tell my wife ;)

Can't wait to check out your build bro! I'm not very car savvy, but guess what, that'll change real fast :)

I was on the fence for about a week. I found identical Yotas at two dealerships; one short one long. Short bed won because of its looks (sporty), potential gas savings on weight, and because I don't have a need to haul anything, really.
I can't compare since I never owned a pickup before lol.

K&N CAI installed yesterday. It ROARS now. Sweet! Magnaflow catback ordered today.
I'll also go ahead and order my extra D-rings tonight, so I can get that done next week. I'm also watching two eBay homelink modules for manual modding into the inside cab. Oh, and I already blew a tire earlier today. Yuck .. lol (fooling around, curb got me)

Honestly, I'm trying to knock out as much as possible before my first car payment is due mid May LOL
