2010 Double Cab Stolen without a key???

Hey, my truck was stolen last night!
I have both keys and FOBs and never had a valet key. Is there any tech out there to over ride the anti theft on a 2010.

The dealer used their own Valet key that they didn't give to you, in order to steal the truck and resell it.

Well, my first suggestion did start out as more of a shot in the dark than anything, but you guys may seriously be on to something.

Ask the dealer if they normally issue out valet keys with their vehicles. If not, then someone in the back could be pawning them off with a photo/plate number from each vehicle as they're driven off the lot.

Is it possible for someone to break in and lift up that shifter overide access plate and get the truck into neutral without useing the keys on the automatics?

 

Yes. thats what the overige is for , so if no keys then over ride the shifter and stick it in neutral and start towing.

Get a real alarm for $300. $600 with tilt, glass, and battery backup incase they are smart enough to disconnect the battery.

 

Thanks all. I have video survalence from my neighbor showing one guy walking up to the truck at midnight, waiting half a minute then getting in and driving away. Has to be some master key or I dunno.

I would not rule out at all someone figuring out a flaw in the system. Keep the ear to the ground on that.
