    Got details on banners:

"13oz full color vinyl banners, and are only $4 per square foot with quantity discounts for 2 or more of the same banner. We can accept print ready artwork, or provide design assistance for an additional charge."

Just thought of something, 4WD Toyota Owner magazine's HQ is up in Washington, so I think I might shoot them an invite to the event on slim the chance one of their guys can come down. I think it would be pretty cool to get some magazine coverage!

Im going in today to say hi to my buddy and get some pricing for a banner. Can we all agree on what it should say in the next day or so? Ive seen a few ideas already, just throwing it out there to make everyone happy. I also think a good idea is just taking the logo from the top of the page and adding .com to the end of world. Just a thought. Let me know.

something crossed my mind just now. Does TSF ever restrict trail use when fire danger is high? I ask this because when i ride shotgun creek they have the trails closed some parts of the summer when its dry out because of fire danger. And i would hate for us to plan this and that possible chance that they could close the trail use for that weekend. Just my curiosity.

I know that some trails close due to damage, but that's a good question. I can try to see if I can get an answer for you

This got me thinking a bit more:

    1. How many of you are experienced, responsible wheelers? Yes, there's a distinction between the two - I've seen guys who know what they are doing, but feel the need to tear shit up just to do it.
    2. What level of trail are you comfortable with? Do you have any problems with route planning we need to know about (such as difficulty, how long, ...etc)?
    3. How many of you are willing to lead trail runs?
    4. Can you act as a spotter? Do you have experience spotting, including recovery?
    5. How many of you know how to use recovery gear?
    6. Do you have recovery gear?
    7. Anyone with first aid, CPR knowledge?

Sorry to play Mr. Mom, but I just got thinking that we need some logistics of how we can split people up if needed, what trails, or how to organize the 'vehicle snake'

I don't anticipate needing to do much (if any) recovery or first aid. I've never used my recovery gear at TSF, nor been with anyone who needed anything other than a few stones under a wheel.

    Here's me:

    1. I've started from ground zero in September, so I have a ways to go. However, I'm learning from a very experienced group, go semi-frequently, and I can usually give pointers on how to do things the safe way. I'm not versed on what all the Tread Lightly people have to say, but I have a 'turtle and the hare' mentality and try to have a low impact. I'm not a tree-hugger, but I will tell you to pick up your shit.
    2. i prefer moderate. I only do difficult trails when I'm with a VERY experienced group, and even then I'm not afraid to say no (and often do). I have no problem with the easy trails and I would be happy to ride shotgun as a driving coach if needed. I only have problems with dangerous people.
    3. I've never led more than 3, so I'm not that comfortable, but I've gone to TSF quite a few times so I describe the trails.
    4. I can help spot. I've had ~some~ experience in recovery (basically enough to keep anyone from killing themselves at least :)).
    5. Limited. I've done basic winching and recovery strap. Shovels rock.
    6. Recovery strap, d-rings (front/rear), shovel, fire extinguisher, basic tools.
    7. I have a first aid kit, but there's a reason I quit boy scouts :anonymous:

    1. I feel like I'm fairly experienced with 'wheeling and pretty responsible. I dont leave shit behind, and dont tear stuff up. I just use a little throttle when necessary.
    2. I'm comfortable with any trail that my truck can run without tearing things apart. I dont mind winching to get over something if need be or scraping a rock on my trail armor, I just dont want to be breaking parts on my DD rig since I have to drive it home on Sunday. ;)
    3. I'll lead who ever wants to folly me. :)
    4. I can definitely act as a spotter to help if need be. I feel like I can assess a situation quite well, and give the proper advice/instruction to make it throgh.
    5. I'm pretty handy with any recovery gear.
    6. I've got several shackles, good tow/recovery points on my truck, several tow straps, a snatch block, and a hi-lift jack. I will have the required fire extinguisher, and also bring some tools with me just in case. I sold my winch recently, but might have a new one by the time of the trip.
    7. Only basic knowledge of both. I was CPR certified a couple years ago, just never got re-certified.

    1. not real experienced and have not done this type of thing for years (most of my experience was in high school with mud holes)
    2. my truck is long and i do not want to mess it up quit yet so beginner to low moderate for me
    3. no leading for me (other then beginner trails i got not problem with that)
    4. i will help where i can, i do not think i know enough to try to tell people what to do
    5. i have never used recovery gear
    6. i have some straps and basic gear
    7. basic knowledge, and better then average reaction and response to problems i am comfortable with my CPR first aid knowledge (i was a boy scout after all)

i will follow on any trail with my quad lots of experience with that.

as long as we have a gallon of water, extingquisher and a shovel with us then we will be fine but thats the law during the summer and we can get a ticket if we dont have those.

Well, they do close trails for fire danger, but not sure how to find what and when just yet... details pending.

Also, it's been recommended to me that trail groups consist of 5 vehicles or less, otherwise it becomes cumbersome and unmanageable.

1.Not very experienced, but responsible. Not gonna do anything stupid to ruin the trails. I pick up after myself and cant stand when people leave trash everywhere.
    2. Well my truck is completely stock for now so moderate trails at most for me, but i am not opposed to riding shotgun with someone else on more difficult trails to learn from them.
    3. With my lack of experience, i should probably follow for now.
    4. No experience spotting or with recovery but would like to learn.
    5. Unfortunately no recovery at the moment but will look into recovery straps before the trip.
    6. ^^. will also have the required fire extinguisher before the trip.
    7. Had some first aid training back in high school, but that was awhile ago.

    1. I'm like a ninja on the trails. I always pack my trash out and don't trash the land.
    2. I'm okay with going on most trails. I'm well armored but, I won't go on something that I know my truck isn't capable of doing.
    3. I'm not too familiar with the TSF trails so I'd like to familiarize myself with it before I lead but, if need be, I can lead.
    4. I have no problems spotting or assisting in recovery. I've done it plenty of times.
    5. I have a winch, straps, shackles, snatch block, high lift, etc. I can aid in recovery. Only catch is if something breaks on your vehicle during recovery it is your responsibility, if something breaks on mine then it's my responsibility. I see this as the only way of being fair to both parties.
    6. See above.
    7. I know how to put a band aid on :) I have basic knowledge of first aid. Nothing too in-depth.

I agree that there should be small groups of no more than 5-6. It'll take too long to get through trails and lots of angry people behind us having to wait. If someone breaks down and has to head back it'll really become a pain moving 10 people around said person.
