Hey everyone I have a 2010 with the electric rear view mirror. It is the auto dimming mirror that displays the backup camera view on the right portion of the mirror. A few month ago I had an issue with the mirror's rear camera screen going blue. I still had the green light but when I put the truck into reverse all I got was flicking screen and then just blue. I checked the camera and the wiring and it was all good but when I wiggled the wires leading into the mirror suddenly the back up camera screen worked. Now over the last week the screen goes blue almost weekly and now the auto dim feature stops working (the green light doesn't glow).

So my question is can I just disassemble the mirror and resolder the plugs/wires? I assume they are loose and only making partial contact. Has anyone taken the mirror apart and looked? I solder electronics all the time so I'm confident I can do it but I dont want to disassemble the mirror and risk damaging it more.

    Thanks
