I'm looking to get a 2010 Tacoma 4x4 (SR5 package) and install the TRD supercharger and catback exhaust and had a few questions. In stock form:
    1. What RPM are you running at 70 MPH?
    2. How does the towing improve with the SC?
    3. I currently have a Jeep Grand cherokee with a 5.L HEMI and recently sold my Cummins TD so I'm used to plenty of HP and torque. How does the SC'ed Tacoma handle on the street against a v8? Offroad?
    4. How's the MPG with the SC?

I've had two Toyotas in the past ('85 with 3" Downey lift, headers, ingnition, 4:56 gears) and a stock '91 and loved them. Having since driven a 4x4 Ram 2500 with Cummins TD and Jeep GC with a HEMI I'm hesitant to return to a small displacement motor (Even with a SC) so any thoughts/experience here would be great.

A super charger has no effect on rpms at 70.

If you dont have enough power you can always go to a custom program and a larger pulley for more boost.

You MPG wont change unless you get on it. The super charger has a bypass at low RPM/throttle input.

Thanks for the input DevL. The RPM question wasn't specific to the SC but more out of curiosity. Having only driven a stock 4.0, how big is the power delivery with the SC installed? I only ask as I've heard anywhere from "huge" to "minimal".

TRD claims it will bring the 4.0 from 260hp to 304 so about 44hp.

Mine was about identical to a 5.7 tundra before i did the lift and tires. Now its wayyyy slower.

Thanks for all the input. I can't find anyone here in Denver that has a 4.0 supercharged that I can drive. Last thing I want to do is drop some serious coin for a new truck and not be happy with the power. Not expecting the power I had with the CTD but would like something that isn't dropping into 4th with every hill on the highway at 80.
