    Taco Owners,

New to Tacoma World. Purchased 2010 Taco base model, 2WD, manual trans no power anything. Truck came with one key. All online solutions (open close door, insert key, etc) mention the door locks opening and closing as an indication that the chip on new key is able to be programed. Since I don't have power locks or windows this is a no go and I don't even see a security light on the dash that is referred to in these instructions.

Antone had any success in programing a key?

    Thanks,

I don't think your key is chipped.. I had Ace make up a few keys for me at less than $5 each

    I don't think any 4cyl trucks have chipped keys. Think it's a V6 thing.

Thank you Ryan. That may be the reason I don't see security icon.
