i wanna get a sub for my 2010 taco base
i want something that will either fit into the factory plastic cutouts
or some like that. im fine with removing the plastics and stuff but i want a clean install. like it was meant to be there. i have a aftermarket deck already installed and have speakers just need the 6x9 adapters to get here and some warm weather.
    give me some ideas guys

I removed all behind the seat plastic in my double cab and had a 8 inch box made for one side and mounted the amp on the other.
I'm very happy with the result and with no plastic to rattle.
Next project is to line the back wall with sd mat.

Quite the price on this. That's almost $300.
Sub boxes are so damn easy to make....+- $50 and an 8 inch sub is around 100$ so thats 150. 1/2 the price :)

All you need is a tape measure, basic wood working skills and your set
    1) draw out design based on stats
    2) make modifications based on online calculator or spread aheet
    3) make cut list, and go to your hardware store
    4) they do most of the cuts for you
    5) buy glue and screws / drill bit
    6) slap it together
Find a friend with router or use a jig saw with a steady hand for sub cut out

Material cost is under $50!, you may even be able to find cut offs for cheap

I've had both...first the ********* then I had Marv built me a box. With Marv, he can build the box to the specs of your sub so there's more subs u can use. Plus Mr Marv will talk you threw everything u need to know about putting together a system for your taco.

There is really not much different between setups....
The major things to consider is :

Do you want to remove the plastic
Do you use the space behind the seat for Any storage
Are you proficient with Wood working tools

IF so, there is quite a few variations based on which speaker you get and what your goals are.
