    2010 full 4 door short bed
    I have a 2010 6cyl with towing pkg full four doorI would like to buy a camper weighing 6260 lbs
    Would the truck handle it safely with a weight distribution hitch ??? And perform satisfactorily??

    While that is "technically" within the rated towing capacity of the truck, that is way too much trailer for the truck. I had a 3700 lb trailer that probably topped out around 5000-5200 lbs with all of our stuff loaded in it and that was enough. You have to take into consideration not just the weight of the trailer but also tongue weight and GVW. Do a search on " towing" and there are several very informative posts on max weight and setting up the Tacoma for towing.
