I bought my truck, a couple years ago, and have found that I miss listening to more than one CD at a time. I almost bought a used 6-12 disk player last year, but called an installer and he talked me out of buying it and having it installed. Now I am about to drive across the country and really will need some entertainment, as radio stations are rare, through the northern states from CA through at least Colorado, so I need a CD disk changer. I am trying to figure out, if I can purchase a multiple disk CD changer and have it installed, detached from my regularly installed radio, so that when I upgrade to a new truck that I can pull it out and move it.

Bottom line, is this possible? Will this work in my 2010 Tacoma? I read a post, from way back in 2010 and that person referred to the fact that he had one, but the subject was not about the changer. What do you think folks, is this possible? No I do not want to get music from my phone, I invested in CD's back when for a reason.

Thank you for any help, you all can give me.

A RF CD Changer can be transferred from vehicle to vehicle and the vehicles don't have to be the same brand or anything like that. The signal is received through the antenna lead/radio.

Why not switch to a head unit with USB or ipod compatibility. Granted you have to use a computer to import new music but you can gain other great features like navigation and backup camera on full screen head units, without breaking the bank.
