    Too few to list.
I have a very slight ticking sound on low as well. Just turn up the radio.

well.......you are going to get absolutely destroyed posting anything negative about toyotas on forums like this. Most toyota truck owners will follow their truck right off a cliff before considering anything else. BUT i will chime in here anyway knowing i WILL get flamed.

I just picked up my 2010 trd sport last month or so and it is by far the lowest quality toyota i have ever owned. This is my 9th new toyota in various forms - my 3d new truck ( 1992, 1999 and my new 2010). my wife and i still have our 2004 4runner limited and my 2003 lexus is300 and my truck is the cheapest out of them all.

I do like it but the overhead console is cheap, the stereo is a joke, no heated mirrors( WTF) no nav option, no DVD player options(yes you can buy the headrest from them after the fact).

I did check out the alternatives and the competition ( ford f150 etc) does take care of you alot better BUT you are driving a ford - not good.

I LOVE MY TACOMA but with owning everything from a 1993 supra to a 2004 4runner - this tacoma is the poorest quality out of them all.

i will now prepare to be flamed. \ just my opinion.

I thought I had my first complaint on my 07 Offroad yesterday, but the dealer replaced the light bulb under warranty so now I have nothing to complain about...sorry.:)

That's where you're wrong... the competition for this truck is the Ranger, and Colorado/Canyon.. NOT the F-150.

What the hell is wrong with Rangers, F150's and the like?
Out of all the company's I'd say ford has made the greatest amount of legendary cars. Ford Mustang, GT40, F150 (out sells everybody), Ford escort (dont laugh-they win rally's), Model T, Taurus (number one selling in early 90's) Ford Fusion (motortrend car of the year).. I could go on but Ford Rangers are tough as nails, have an unlimited amount of aftermarket support, they're small and when coupled with a 4.0 V6 I'd say they're just as fast as our tacomas.
If you're directionally impaired and want Nav, mirror heaters, air con seats, electronic everything, then you may as well buy a Lincoln navigator or a lux SUV.

I agree. Very poor quality in the 2010 Tacos... I went by the dealership to buy one, but the only color they had was red. RED! Complete crap!

i know the tacomas competition is the compact trucks and the f150 is more in the tundra's class but is was looking also at price point and the tacoma and the fully loaded f150's are about the same give or take.

i am not trying to start a pissing contest - i drive a tacoma - but if you look across a few forums, the general consensus is tacoma has come down a bit - that is all. Alot of guys do miss the 1 gen tacoma after trading in their trucks on a new one.

just my 2 cents worth of opinion.

Never said anything was wrong with Ford... My uncle has a Ranger, and he HATES it. I haven't asked him why he does tho. But he's selling the Ranger so he can get a TACOMA!! Imagine that!

As with anything that is mass produced, you will invariably find one that isn't up to snuff or has some kind of problem. It's reality. Look at fleet vehicles. They might all be the same car (Crown Vic as an example). One will be great, the next one seriously flawed and the rest acceptable.

    None yet! It's new!
My 2009 doesn't feel as much like a "truck" as my '96 did (both are V6, 4X4s). It feels much more car-like than truck-like. I find myself missing the '96 a LOT - it was the most reliable vehicle I've had in 40 years of vehicle ownership... and the FIRST one that I never got tired of. On the other hand... it was time to upgrade to a little nicer vehicle all around and the 2009 is great so far... no major complaints as long as it keeps holding up.

I can get a brand new fully loaded 4x4 F150 on my local lot for the same price or cheaper than a 2010 Tacoma TRD.

While the magazines don't define them as equal competition due to berth, anything within the same price range in my eyes is fair game.

I know several Toyota loyalists that are disappointed with the latest Tacoma. I doubt I will EVER find a vehicle equal or better than my 1998 Tacoma. 185K miles of virtually trouble free.

it's depend on how you used your truck.
I had and droved a lot off different truck the last 8 years.
I decided to buy a Tacoma 4dr sport trd edition 4x4 2010 2 month ago.
    WHY A TACOMA???
First i am not a city driver on pavement road
I drive on gravel road 80% of the time and the road are bad.
BUT most of the poeple drive in the city and put a few constructions or bicycles in the bed.
So for those peoples...a FORD F-150 is great and better for them.
But for guys like me who drived there truck pretty hard,,,I think i have the best truck available out there.
And i drove almost every truck out there except the new F150 RAPTOR.
BUT the Tacoma is a waranty of peace mind.
THere is some small thing that i don't like about my new Tacoma:the sound system and that we seat like car.

Ok dont mean to bust on you - but
    1. Drive line vib, i sometimes feel a vib, but i've noticed its different on different streets or surfaces, but nothing major. I have felt worse in other trucks.
    2. Ipod, mine works ok, dont use much
    3. As for the tires, they put soft cheap tires on all new vehicles, that way it feels soft and gets lots of traction on test drive. Also why they dont last long.
    4. XM, Its a upgrade, of coarse you need extra stuff.
    5. Heater noise, ??? it a moving part, it will make noise.
But to answer all of these concerns, its a truck.
As a truck, its one of the best available.

I dunno 90% of my music on my ipod is 320 and sounds great. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that cd's are 320 as well. Anyways, I have a 2010 Access Cab and have had no complaints at all.. well except the shitty factory speakers but those are gone :).

Yea thats true. But when you try to sell how much will you lose out of your @ss on the ford compared to the tacoma.

Radio stinks regardless if you think the ipod is at fault. Adding XM after the fact is a pain and should be included in its entirety. XM Ready is useless to me. It definitely is a nice vehicle. Love the quality and ride. Sport interior may be what you wanted because it probably resisted staining and is a little more rugged IMO.

Don't want to sound harsh but seat color has nothing to do with Toyota quality. If you don't like grey, get some seat covers.

Buying the top of the line model doesn't mean it comes with the best of everthing.

I have an 05 chevy 2500hd that is 2000x niceron the inside than my tacoma. I didnt buy the tacoma for the ipod adapter or the quality of interior. I wanted a truck that wouldnt let me down. It is very utilitarian. Small annoyances IMO do not determine the quality of the truck. I know that anytime i go out to start my truck it wont let me down. How many tacomas do you see dead on the side of the road? Even if you do see one its probably because some idiot ran out of gas lol.

If you want a cadillac buy a cadillac. I think they should make a luxury tacoma for those who want a car with a bed. For me i want a truck i can work or offroad and camp or swim without worrying about mud or wet clothes. I think the TRDs are a perfect balance of luxury and utility.
