so I just got this 2010 Tacoma and after 6 months this squeak appeared. The kids were standing on the truck bouncing making it squeak ☺️

I’m trying to figure out exactly what it’s from and what I can do to fix it. Either short term and or long term.

Ive greased the control arms and sprayed lubricant silicone on the suspension parts (which I know shortens the life of the parts, but I just did it once to see if it would work). But nothing’s worked.

I’m not a mechanic but since buying this truck I’ve been doing tons of research on them and learning as much as I can about them and this forum has been AWESOME, so i figured I’d check here first!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Videos of noises are really hard to diagnose, even in person they are hard as you obviously know. Could be UCA bolts, LCA bolts, lower shock bolt, UCA balljoint, LCA balljoint, swaybar linkage, body mount, radiator mount, a random piece of sheet metal touching another, the list goes on.

A good cleaning is usually a good place to start, mud and dirt hide problems. You may have greased the outside of the problem area when the noise is coming from the inside. Check for play in things that shouldn't have play. Check for the lack of play in things that should.

If you can replicate the noise consistently, I usually take a ~3ft piece of hose and put it to my ear and use it like a stethoscope. My truck has a squeak as well when you rock it, and its coming from my radiator support bushings like @whatstcp said. I know you sprayed them already, but take a hose and listen to them just in case
