Hey guys I am switching head units to a kenwood stereo from stock job system. Wired everything and have no power to the head unit. I went back and tested to make sure the unit powered up if I combine the red and yellow. I determined there is no power to the red ignition wire but all the fuses are good. Any ideas desperately trying to get this stereo in and dash back together.

is the yellow powered with the key off?

there are some vehicles that use yellow as constant power and red as ignition. then there are others that use blue as remote and orange as power.

do you have a wire diagram for the truck?

depending on what OEM stereo you had the red you are using MAY not be the one you need.

google wire diagram or search for same on here. find the wires you need from the truck. the stereo will have the same wires just labeled different.

like B+ and IGN or remote....need to correlate this with what the engrish translation of Japanese.

I don't have a diagram for your rig......don't even have one for mine..........I don't know if this helps or makes sense.

Yes first thing I did was check the harness wires again. Then I tried the factory stereo plugged back in and no power to it now. It sounds like a fuse but the fuses are all good.

I’m definitely getting no power to the entire factory red ignition wire now even with truck running. Anyone know if there is a separate fuse for just the ignition side of things?

Did you check all 3 fuses? There's 2 under the hood fuse box labeled Radio1 and Radio2 and one in cab fuse panel by your left knee labeled ACC.

Did you unplug your negative battery when you started this, then, just hooked it up to test everything? I did this on my install and then it wouldnt power on. I had to undo the negative, then actually tighten it, and no worries after.

It's the 7.5A ACC fuse in the panel behind the pull out tray by your left knee from the driver's position.
