2010 Tacoma SR5 ext cab V6

Hello, I’m considering buying the subject truck and would like some feedback on towing. I see it’s rated for 6500lbs for both the 4cyl and v6. I want to tow an enclosed 11’ aluminum trailer with 2 snowmobiles and wanted to know if anyone else does and how well the V6 handles it, climbing hills on the interstate, etc ?

I have a trailer brake installed in mine, for that much weight it's probably smart to get one. Should be fine though.

 

I think the tow rating will depend on if the truck included the factory tow package or not.

 

You should be fine towing that. Just make sure to get the trailer brake controller installed and never tow in 5th (overdrive), make sure the shifter is in 4.
