Already Gentleman.....I need some help. I was about to buy the Spyder aftermarket tail lights when I noticed it said they’re not compatible with models that have factory equipped LED tail lights. Per my build sheet from the dealership, my 2010 TRD sport has factory equipped tail lights. However, it also said I have a front flat folding front passenger seat and I was told by someone else that it does not as the back of the seat would have a hard plastic pan. So, needless to say this shit is frustrating. Does anyone know if there are tail light options for factory LED equipped lights? I’m about to just paint them and call it good but I hate the look of the factory tails. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, all the TRD Sport models came with factory LED trail lights. Did you look at your lights? Are the LED?

The harness to the lights is the same as the non LED factory tail lights. I just changed mine to the non LED assemblies and they plugged right in and everything worked. I would think that would mean that any aftermarket tail light assemblies that are replacements for the non LED would also work to replace the LED assemblies but maybe I'm missing something in the truck wiring? I even put LED lamps in the brake, indicator and reverse spots so they have that bright, clean, instant on light but in a housing that doesn't look like it's a 2002 altezza ripoff from the summit racing catalog.

Lol, that’s exactly what they look like, too. Okay, I think I’m just going to buy them and try it. There has to be a way for it to work. I appreciate the info. Thanks man

it looks like you have TRD Sport as well so yours would have factory equipped LED tails, right? Did you have any issues getting the new ones to work? Thanks for the pics. Looks awesome

I loved the factory look of these lights but one went out on me about 2 weeks after installing, the harness wouldn’t keep a connection unless I physically pushed them together with a good amount of force. Probably just bad luck on my part.

I appreciate that info. I wonder why they said they won’t fit with factory equipped LED models. I’m just going to order the ones I’ve been looking at. Hopefully it works out.
