My friend's truck's cooling fan decided to explode while driving and managed to take out the transmission inlet cooler line that attaches to the radiator. I've searched and the only thing that I can find close to it is a power steering line, but it doesn't have the right nut size to attach to the radiator.

Welcome to Tacoma World. Any photos you can share? Or at least tell us if it’s a 4cyl or V6, auto/manual, 4x4 or not, and if it’s an offroad.

You can use a standard size hose, I don't remember if it's 3/8 or what - take the busted one into your local parts store and have them match it and cut a chunk for you
Don't forget to make sure it's pressure rated (Trans hose, not whatever else they got kicking around on spools) and don't forget new clamps.
