2010 TPMS sensors in 2017 TRD wheels?

Hey guys,

This is my first post on the forum, but I am a very mechanical guy. I looked around and didn't find enough information to solve my question. I have a 2010 trd off road. It came with aftermarket wheels. I'm looking to get a set of 2016 or 2017 trd wheels. I'm wondering if i'll be able to just drop my old sensors into the new wheeels, or if this will turn into a huge deal.
This is my first truck/ vehicle with TPMS sensors so I don't know all the in's and out's.
I don't want to rip the light out or put tape over it either. I couldn't get myself to ever do that.

Hey Mat,

I am trying to do the same thing. The dealer here in Dallas said it cost about 150 for each sensor plus the install fee. The TRD Off Road are ranging from $800 to $1,200 for all 4 of them. My guess will be to compare both the 2017 tmps with the 2010. If they look a like, then most likely they will fit.
