    I had both... while the 1st gen Tacoma was fantastic (no issues), it is no longer made so we have to deal with reality. The 2nd gen (I am on my second) is a different truck... it is bigger, for one. The 2005 had three issues (soft rear suspension, ABS brake noise/ operation, wire harness failure)... but it still ws an awesome truck for all the non issue miles. My 2010 is great and I love the traction controls that make this truck totally superior to all previous 4WDs.

    I've got a 2010 TRD 4x4 and there is an SR5 badge on the tail gate from the factory.

    SR5 is one package but in order to have TRD off-road, you need to get the SR5 also... so basically 2 packages in one...

    you need it anyway. :)
