Hey folks, I saw someone on facebook messenger who works at a local Toyota dealer advertising free undercoating that will extend your frame warranty for 12 years and they will supply a rental car while they are doing it(two day process I believe?). This only applies to 2011-2017 based off of his ad. This is a dealer in Saco, ME but it might be worthwhile looking into for others that aren't local. They do a frame inspection prior to doing the undercoating so they aren't just hiding any holes. I just had to message the dealership and once the materials come in they will setup an appointment and get it done. I'm sure its a way to drum up some business during this slow time but an extra 12 years warranty sounds good to me!

I recently got a letter from Toyota explaining the new extended warranty, including an extra page to attach to my owners manual talking about it (FYI, original owner of 2011 Taco, so they had my info). They won't do the undercoating unless your rig needs it as far as I can tell. I live in the north west, where they don't really salt much, if at all, so mine is still in good shape. Nice to know that the warranty on the frame was extended though.

So I had my truck in to have the EO2 done on the springs. Had them also do the frame inspection and it failed. Perforation was found in A2 of the frame..
Hopefully, it is a good thing. Is there anything I should know about what they are about to do? I am told it is going to take a few weeks or longer to get the parts.

If you do a little searching, you'll find all sorts of information on this program already here. Thanks for sharing though.

BTW, it's not technically "undercoating" since the coating only goes on the inside of the box sections of your frame.

I live in Mass not far from Saco. I got the letter and warranty extension page and called my dealer in NH and went in for a frame inspection, was told to make appt. in about 6 months so they could look at it again.

UPDATE: Dealer just called and wanted to do the CRC treatment and the Air Pump recall. I made appointment for them to do it in a couple of weeks, they are going to give me a no charge rental as they said it takes 2 days. Will report when I get it done.

I got my letter a month or so ago and scheduled my CRC treatment for mid July.....they want the truck for 5 days and will give me a loaner. When I scheduled it it was about 6 weeks out as they said they have a lot of them to do. I had it in last week for inspection and emissions and they checked the frame then and said it looked really good ( it's been Krowned the past 6 years). I will continue the Krown treatments after the CRC application as I don't know what to expect with it....only that it takes my warranty on the frame out to 12 years. I have more faith in Krown or Fluid Film.
