Boat looks great! I like the center steering, and can't go wrong with a Yamaha!

Hell yeah man!!! I’m very happy with the Yamaha. I was thinking of a tiller version boat but, the console, seat in front in all is a little better for me to keep an eye on my son when running.

On a side note, my mom is getting her birth certificate updated from Quebec. Once that’s done I’m gonna get working on my dual citizenship.

Did a little work on the truck. Had a LED pod that lost its powdercoat and I repainted it with high temp engine paint (what I had in black at home already from a hand plane restoration).

Drawer set up ain’t quite done yet. Not sure how I want to build the cooler slide one yet. Worked great hunting. Made out of 1/2” plywood, strong enough for me.

After 19 years hunting with my PSE Nova I bought a Hoyt. Tried out several Matthews, Elites, Missions, Bowtech and the Hoyt Hyperforce felt best to me. I did like the Mission MXR, great for the price, but man drawing the string back the Hyperforce is all GOLD. Yes, I tried two Matthews Triax bows, draw cycle has an awful hill before the wall to me. And yeah I hear a lot of triax talk how it’s so small, only 2” smaller than this Hoyt, I seriously am not worried about 2” difference. Hyperforce draw for my 70 lbs seems like nothing, almost wanted to get it in a 80 lbs, that’s how nice it is to me. Went with the Accel Accuhunter 1 pin. So excited for the hunting I have coming up in December.

Phenomenal thread man. Your build is awesome and the pictures were great. Seeing those fishing and hunting pictures makes me want to check out Texas. Well done.

Thanks man! Boat is gonna be a slow going, but coming along nicely. I definitely will be taking it duck hunting next month. Really enjoyed taking the truck hunting a few weeks ago, out working now. Can’t wait to get back! How’ve you been?

My build has been mostly utilitarian on a budget. Not every hunt or fishing trip is successful, but the story along the way is what it’s all about to me. Sharing trips with my son and others new to the outdoors is a blessing. Thank you.

I love introducing new people to hunting and fishing, seeing the smile on a young persons face when they shoot their first buck or catch a sturgeon that’s longer than they are tall. It’s truly a great feeling.

    Yep.
I've always admired how you've kept it light with the stock bumpers :(.

Armor looks great and functions well too though.

I guess you have seen that US offroad hidden winch bumper? Looks good imo. Buying a winch i would pair it with a bumper like that

I hear you, thank you for the compliment. I too have enjoyed the simplicity thus far. Yeah I’m a ways from Offroad parks and different terrain but I have PINS (Pardre Island National Seashore) that is a 60 miles. I often go off-roading alone and think in the long run this will add a little since of security. It’s awful how anything modded on our trucks only adds more weight, like the platform I made. Still getting about 18-19 mpg going 75 mph. End goal still is to keep the weight down.

Yeah that’s a nice option, but still 70 lbs for just a cradle. I’m liking the SOS Offroad bumpers as I’ve had a great experience buying sliders from them.

Thanks for egging me on @ChadsPride.

I've been well sir! Just staying super busy. This time change has been killing me. Hard to get anything done now in the evenings, just gets dark too early. You should try and make the CnC in SA in january if you can. I think we're planning on having a trail ride afterwards..
